Thomas Clinton Smith, age 67, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hulen and Frances Smith; sisters, Mary Overby, Elizabeth Scroggins; brothers, Hulen Smith Jr., Marion Smith, J.W. Smith, Floyd Smith, James Smith and Eddie Smith.

Thomas was a member of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church. He was a jack of all trades, master of none and could fix anything. Thomas loved his Ford truck and doted on his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Paula Smith; daughter, Crystal Smith of Tunnel Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Bradford and Tiffany Smith of Chatsworth; brother, Tom Wade Smith of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Taylor, Clinton, Shelly, Peanut, Korbin, Victoria; six great grandchildren. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff of Amedisys hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tyson Griffin and Rev. Brennan Hendricks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 2:00 until the funeral hour.

Burial will be at Colonial Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church Jireh fund.
