Mr. Ronald Dexter “Ronnie” Langley, Jr., age 58, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronnie was born January 17, 1968, in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margie Ann Allen Wheat, his beloved son, Brent Langley, uncle, Mithcell Langley, grandparents, Clyde and Montine Langley, and Roy Camp and Doris Allen, step-mother, Betty Cassell Langley.

Ronnie was a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoyed cheering on his team. He had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed singing. Music was something that brought him happiness and allowed his personality to shine. In earlier years, Ronnie worked as a carpet salesman and was known by those who knew him for his own unique personality and the impression he made on the people around him.

Ronnie is survived by his father, Ronald D. Langley, Sr. (Lynn Trivett) of Dalton, GA; sister, Teresa Rohn (Steve) of Chattanooga, TN; niece, Lexy Willoughby (Tristen); brother, Robbie Wheat (Imelda Vann); wife, Jan Mashburn; step-sons, Shannon Cassell, Scotty Cassell and Sean Cassell; step-sister, Sherry Seymore; step-brother, Danny Seymore; uncles and aunts, David and Marie Langley, Mike and Margie Langley all of Dalton, GA, and Pat and Larry Martin of Resaca, GA; several cousins and many friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Roger Langley, Darrell Langley, Mike Langley, Robbie Wheat, and Steve Rohn honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.

Above all, Ronnie was a son, brother, father, husband, stepfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who loved him. Though his life was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Ronnie is now reunited with his beloved son, Brent, and his mother, Margie. May they rest together in peace.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
