Peggy L. McDonald, age 94, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest McDonald; parents, Henry and Stella Mae Wilson Fortenberry; great-grandson, William Banks Harvey. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Danny Morgan of Dalton; sister, Glenese Thornton of Dalton; grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Brown, Lauren (Will) Harvey, and several great-grandchildren; and nephew, Jim Meadows. A private family service will be held to celebrate the life of Peggy. The family would like to thank Ridgewood Manor for the care and comfort that was shown to Peggy during her stay.
