Mr. Jack Marvin Grooms, age 80, of Dalton, Ga, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He was born on November 24, 1945. Mr. Grooms was preceded in death by his wife, Verla Grooms; parents, Marvin and Niner Grooms; and brothers, Thurman Grooms, Dewey Grooms, Bill Grooms, Carl Grooms, Lonnie Grooms, Ralph Grooms; and sisters, Catherynes Grooms, Jeanette Beavers. Jack was a long-time member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed mowing his grass with his push mower.

Mr. Grooms was survived by his sons, Jack Grooms (Angela), Marvin Grooms (Carol), and Billy Grooms (Tyra); daughters, Debbie Edwards, Linda Greeson (Jeff), Stephanie Wilson; brother, Mack Grooms; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Grooms will be held at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
