Harry Robert Lawrence, age 82, of Dalton, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 12, 2026. He was born in Milford, Pennsylvania on February 20, 1944. He became a resident of Dalton in 1972.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ester Lawrence, three brothers and his beloved son, Robert Joseph Lawrence.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Pat Lawrence; brother-in-law, David and Tressia Arnold; nephew, Wesley and Laura Arnold and their three children; niece, Sharon Kirley, her husband Ron Kirby and their sons; cousins, Evelyn Lawrence and Kathy Bruce. Other cousins also survive.

Harry was an educator for thirty years with the Whitfield County School System. He received his education in California and received his master’s degree at UTC. The lasting impact Harry made in his classroom will continue to be seen in the many lives he touched in his years of his teaching career. His fellow teachers and students loved and admired him deeply

Harry loved his Savior Jesus Christ and lived everyday as a testimony of his faith. He was a devoted member of Church on the Hill for fifty-three years, serving as a teacher and in church leadership.

A private family funeral service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church on the Hill.

Burial will be in Whitfield /Memorial Gardens.
