Mr. Harold Eugene Long, age 96, of Chatsworth, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Murray Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin and Mira Long; his brother, Buell Long; his sister, Maxine Albertson; and the mother of his children, Betty Joyce Long.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sherry Long of Chatsworth and Greg Long of Chatsworth; his daughter, Amanda Long of Chatsworth; his grandchildren and their spouses, Christina and David Maness, Melissa and Rodney Hilley, Adam Long, Joseph and Claudia Wilson, Justin Fleenor, and Holly Fleenor; numerous great-grandchildren; and many extended family members also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Harold Eugene Long will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
