Faye Elder, age 89, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. Sane and Pearl Sane; brothers and sister-in-law, Roy, Wesley, and Neva Sane; and grandson, Barrett Elder.

Faye was a faithful member of Mt. Rachel Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with the Heritage Group in Dalton and loved spending her time doing all sorts of crafts, with painting and quilting being among her greatest talents. Most of all, Faye was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family deeply.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Elder, and Alan and Wanda Elder; brother and sisters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Sane, and Rubye Sane; and grandchildren, Blake (Nikki) Elder, Andrew (Emily) Elder, and Aaron (Morgan) Elder.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Marty Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
