In Loving Memory of a One-of-a-Kind Aunt
Jenny Jenkins, age 90 of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a truly one-of-a-kind woman, a beloved aunt, and a beautiful soul whose love touched the lives of so many.
She may not have had children of her own, but she was a mother in every way that mattered. She helped raise her nieces and nephews, loved them fiercely, guided them, cared for them, and was there for them through every season of life. She never needed the title of “Mom” to make them feel like they were her own. Her love was unconditional, and her family always knew they had a safe place in her heart.
She was kind, passionate, generous, and deeply loving. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and important. Her home was a place where family gathered, laughter was shared, and love was always served alongside one of her delicious homemade meals. She was a wonderful cook, and the memories created around her kitchen table will be treasured forever.
She loved her family with her whole heart. She celebrated their victories, comforted them through their struggles, and offered encouragement when they needed it most. Her nieces and nephews will forever remember the sacrifices she made, the lessons she taught, the meals she prepared, the hugs she gave, and the countless ways she showed them what true love looks like.
She was more than an aunt—she was a second mother, a confidante, a caregiver, a role model, and a friend. Her love helped shape the people her nieces and nephews became, and her influence will continue to live on through them.
Though our hearts ache because she is no longer here, we are grateful for the gift of having loved her and been loved by her. Her memory will live on in family traditions, in stories shared around the table, in recipes passed down, and most importantly, in the hearts of all those she helped raise and loved so dearly.
She was truly one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like her.
Her love was her greatest legacy, and her family was her greatest treasure.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ray Jenkins; parents, James Wesley and Edna Winkler; brothers, Harold Winkler and Elswick Winkler; and nephew, Hal Winkler.
Survivors include, nieces and nephews: Celia and Jim Prater, Lisa and Dwayne Young, Adam and Katie Winkler, Katelynne and Kara Winkler, Erin and Joshua Phillips, Jana, Jordan, Everlee and Haven Towe, Jaide and Wil Walraven, Jace Johns, Jack Phillips, Heath Wilbanks, Heather, Brooks and Emmie Reed, Ryan, Kelly, Ella and Hux Young.
