Obituary

Mrs. Donna Diane Eubanks, age 75, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by the love of her family.

Donna was born on July 6, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Jessie Marvin Fountain and Pauline Busby Fountain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Cowart and, Gary E. Eubanks; stepson, Chad Eubanks; grandson, Andrew Holt; great-granddaughter, Alanna Raine Fleenor; brother, Ray Norris and his wife, Patsy; sister, Sandra Wilson; and brother-in-law, Larry Brown.

Donna worked for many years at Crown Craft Mills and was known for her strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to her family. A true old-fashioned Southern Baptist, Donna lived her life guided by traditional values and a steadfast belief in God. She was proud of her heritage, her faith, and the simple principles by which she lived.

One of Donna’s greatest joys was Southern Gospel music. She loved gathering around the piano, where she could effortlessly play by ear and fill a room with the beloved hymns and gospel songs that touched her heart. Whether singing the old songs of faith or sharing music with family and friends, Donna found comfort and happiness in praising the Lord through song. Her love for gospel music was not merely a pastime—it was a reflection of the faith that carried her throughout her life.

Above all else, Donna cherished her family. She loved fiercely and unconditionally, always placing the needs of those she loved before her own. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and encouragement, and she took great pride in caring for her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her strength, wisdom, and nurturing spirit will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristy Diane Tigue of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence and Rebecca Holt of Chatsworth, Georgia, Curtis and Brandy Cowart of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, and Keith and Casey Cowart of Dalton, Georgia; stepsons, Skip and Natashia Eubanks of Jasper, Georgia, Tony and Tammy Cowart of Chatsworth, Georgia, and David and Tracy Cowart of Chatsworth, Georgia; sisters, Bonnie Brown of Trussville, Alabama, and Nancy Burns of Eureka, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Mae Golden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
