Charlie “Festus” Cochran checked out at age 65 to go home to be with the Lord.
His good-giving heart will be missed, but his words of wisdom will be remembered forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Edith Cochran; wife, Deborah Locke Cochran; brother, Lester Cochran; and brother, Kevin Cochran.
He is survived by his children, DeWayne Cochran and Amy and Nova Downer; special friend, Alecia Barnes; brothers, Chester and Kimball Cochran; and grandchildren, Alex and Tristan Hurley.
A service to honor the life of Charlie Festus Cochran will be on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 3 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with Bruce Beach officiating. The interment will be in the Murray Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M.
