Mr. Charles Lee Wood, age 62, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia passed away Sunday evening, August 09, 2026, at a local hospital.

Charles was born September 10, 1963, in Pontiac Michigan, son of the late Charles Delbeart Wood. Besides his father, Charles is preceded in death by his grandmother Marion Marie Klopp, son Hoyt Kelly Jr., stepfather Carl Sellers, sister Charlene Sellers, and great grandchild Kyndell Patterson.

Charles is survived by the love of his life and best friend for over 43 years Kathy Wood of the residence, son and daughter in law Chis (Litisha) Kelly of Chatsworth GA; daughter Tirinia Pina-Atanacio of Chatsworth GA; mother, Ann Marie Sellers; brother and sister in law Billy (Gail) Wood all of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren Angel Kelly, Braden Kelly, Michael Kelly, Ashlyn Ellis, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Charles Lee Wood will be held Friday August 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Reverend Mark Seay Officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the Ponder Colonial Hills Memorial Park with Ralph Caine Jr., Jeremih Pinson, Cory Burke, Tommy Hawkins, Brandon Andrews, Landon Andrews, Ethan Wood and Timmy Cline honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service hour on Friday.
