Brenda Kay
Glover
Dec 26, 1961 — Jul 2, 2026
Mrs. Brenda Kay Jones Glover, 64, of Dalton, Georgia, entered her Savior’s rest on Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 26, 1961, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Kay lived a life anchored in faith, family, and song. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she served with a beautiful singing voice that lifted hearts and pointed many to hope. She loved people deeply, prayed faithfully, and met life’s trials with extraordinary strength. Quick-witted and determined, she often had the last word—and always delivered it with love. Her family will miss her greatly.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Jones; brothers, Terry Jones, Jerry Jones, and Billy Jones; sister, Linda Fowler; and in-laws, Arthur Glover, JoAnn Rawling, Kathy Sloan, and Tessie Woodard.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mack D. Glover; sons, Kevin and Patrick Jackson of Cohutta, GA, and Jamie and Felicia Jackson of Dalton, GA; mother, Mary Rose Quinn Jones of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Logan Jackson, Conner Jackson, and Caleb Jackson; brothers, Darrell Jones of Dalton, GA, and Ricky Jones of Dallas, TX; sisters, Karen and Leon Tackett of Dalton, GA, and Janice Stephens of Resaca, GA; sister-in-law, Tammy and Rex Hamilton of Resaca, GA; and special friends, Sherry Lands and Wanda Shipman, both of Chatsworth, GA, Cleo Coffee of Rocky Face, GA, and Bernice Robinson of Dalton, GA; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate Kay’s life will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens, with family and close friends honored to serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, and again on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
The family requests that in lieu of flower donations be made to Ponders Melrose Chapel to help with final expenses.
The family encourages those who knew Kay to honor her memory by lifting a song, extending a kindness, or offering a prayer—just as she so often did.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ponders Melrose Chapel, 138 Melrose Drive, Dalton, GA 30721, (706) 226-4002
